HD-45 Freefall Lifeboat Davit for Ship

The Norsafe HD-45 davit is specifically designed for safe and efficient launch and retrieval of Norsafe free fall lifeboats. It is intended for long term, reliable operation in harsh and hazardous marine and offshore environments. The davit system is designed in accordance with latest SOLAS and NORSOK R-002 requirements. The davit system is based on a hydraulic driven jib cylinder system and a hydraulic winch operating a single wire on a three part configuration. 

The system provides:

• Free fall launch of the fully loaded lifeboat with 20º list / 10º trim, and 17º list / 17º trim completely
  independent of any power supply. 
• Secondary launch of the fully loaded lifeboat, by means of winch and with electric power provided by the host facility. This is not avaliable for NORSOK R-002 applications. 
• Recovery of the fully loaded lifeboat. No personell is required. 

Materials  

Structural steel: S355 or equivalent suitable for -20ºC

Outfitting steel: S235 or equivalent suitable for -20ºC

Paint system: Sandblasted to Sa 2.5, painted with 1 x 50µ DFT Zink Epoxy Primer
Optional painting according to customer requirement
