The NDA davit system is designed for the safe and efficient launch and retrieval of Norsafe rescue boats. The davit system is designed for long time operation in a tough and corrosive marine/offshore environment. The davit system is designed to fulfill all requirements as given in latest SOLAS/IMO and MSC 809 requirements.

The System will allow: Hoisting and lowering of the fully loaded boat up to 20° list and 10° trim. Gravity lowering of the fully loaded boat up to 20° list and 10° trim, completely independent of any power supply. The davit system is based on hydraulically driven jib cylinder system with a cylinder and a hydraulic driven winch. Both the winch and the jib system are supplied with hydraulic energy from one power unit. A hydraulic power pack is included, and may be located in a suitable location on the vessel. (Bolted to deck) A separate control stand with control valves is also included. This has to be installed by bolts in a suitable location where a good visibility over the davit and boat is obtained.

All internal hydraulic piping is properly done and completed on the entire davit system. The only installation work of piping required is the connection of hydraulic pipes from the power pack to the control stand and further to the davit. All selected equipment is chosen and installed to ensure the lowest possible emission of sound and to give good access for maintenance.

Davit System Type HD for Norsafe Freefall Lifeboats

The HD davit have been specially engineered for the safe and efficient launch and retrieval of the GES free fall lifeboats. It is designed for long term operation in the harsh marine and offshore environment. Each system allows : Free fall launch of the fully loaded lifeboat, in any conditions up to 20 degree list and 10 degree trim, without any additional power supply. Recovery of the boat with a crew of 3 persons.

Each davit system has two hydraulically driven jib cylinders for launching the lifeboat, with a hydraulically driven lifeboat winch, with two wire falls for its retrieval. The jib system and lifeboat winch are driven from a common hydraulic power pack. It is possible to connect the system to an external hydraulic power source. All equipment is designed and installed to ensure the lowest possible emission of sound and to good access for service and maintenance.
