Hydramarine MANRIDER Winch type HMW MR 1,5-725-100 is designed for safe and reliable personnel handling operation on floating or fixed drilling rig in a heavy duty and critical working environment. The winch is type EU approved by DNV according to latest EU/DNV/NPD requirements.

The winch consists of winch foundation and a steel drum driven by a radial piston motor. The spooling system type VHSS' wire spooling system ensures excellent wire spooling under all conditions. The winch is equipped with two fail-safe multidisc brake and a one-way roller clutch (sprag clutch). The brakes are dimensioned to take the full load plus any additional dynamic forces acting on the winch, with 100% back up capacity.

The winch i sfitted with a hydraulic motor, counter balance valve and local operated main control console for winch operation. The winch may also be servo-hydraulic remote operated from a lightweight portable remote control panel (option). The winch is also equipped with a protective cover is fitted to the winch to avoid any personnel contact with rotating drum. The winch is equipped with a galvanized, non-rotating wire rope and a closed spelter socket. The inner end of the wire is secured to the winch drum by three bolted clamps on outside of one of the drum flanges.
 
   
The OFFSHORE MANRIDING WINCH total unit consists of the following main components: Drum, Drum Foundation, Wire spoolong device, Gear unit, valve equipment, and wire rope.
